Dr. Pardino treats physical symptoms brought on by disease, injury, the natural process of aging, or any other issue that hinders a person’s ability to perform in sports, exercise and/or normal daily activities. He works with athletes and non-athletes alike, offering treatment to any individual suffering from musculoskeletal injuries or pain. Dr. Pardino is known for his cutting-edge techniques and rapid-recovery outcomes, especially with knee, hip, and shoulder procedures.
Dr. Pardino specializes in both non-operative and operative treatment of sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, shoulder replacement surgery, hip arthroscopic surgery for femoroacetabular impingement and labral tears, and fracture surgery. With any procedure and especially when surgery is recommended, Dr. Pardino effectively communicates with his patients to ensure that they understand their condition, causes and treatment options.
Throughout his years as an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Pardino has worked with a wide range of symptoms and a variety of physical issues from a diverse population. He sees his patients first and foremost as human beings, with an inherent right to dignity, compassion, and respect. Dr. Pardino sees great value in listening to his patients, and he believes that the patient knows him or herself best, and that the patient can often provide the missing link that is sometimes overlooked in diagnosis.
“Perhaps the most important part of an accurate diagnosis,” he explains, summarizing his personal mission statement, “is taking the time to know and listen to the patient, and hear their story.”
Sydney Pardino graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology in June 2001. He then completed his Medical Degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago with a Doctorate of Medicine in May 2005.
Dr. Pardino completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his post-graduate education at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation of New Orleans, with a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
Dr. Pardino received his medical licensure from the state of California in March 2011. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Pardino is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, he is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, as well as a member of the California Orthopaedic Association. He continues to be an active participant of each of these professional organizations today.
In his spare time, Dr. Pardino enjoys exercising, traveling, and swimming. He believes that being involved in the community is important, which is why he volunteers his time and resources to non-profits, schools, or youth organizations. Locally, Dr. Pardino serves as team physician for multiple High Schools and the SoCal Coyotes semi-professional football team.
